Scarlet Fire Magic!
This is the show that blew my mind! There was magic in the air on this night. Anyone who saw this scorching Scarlet Fire live will always remember it as
...
one of the absolute best versions -- and it sounds just as good 22 years later. The amazing, beautiful, and powerful version of Terrapin also strikes a chord. And the stunning Dylan cover, It's All Over Now, Baby Blue was a perfect finish to this show. Bob fans will also appreciate versions of Hell in a Bucket and I Need a Miracle Every Day. As my man David "Hopper" notes, they blew a few lines this night (we've never seen that before, right?), but this was really a truly stunning show and will always be one of my faves if only for the mind-blowing, trip-tastic Scarlet Fire and the dance circle around the Coliseum, which was truly special that evening.

Terrapin Freakin' Station

and didn't come back to reality until the song ended. It was like being born again. Nothing will ever match that moment. I miss Jerry every single day.

a show!!! 250 shows later I can honestly say this is probably the best Scarlet > Fire that I've seen live, and in the top 10 of all time (IMO). The boys were blowing lyrics through-out the show (Bucket, Scarlet, others), but this show is truly an under rated moment of musical brilliance. The first night of this run was the debut of their MIDI gear and they were definitely experimenting. This 30min Scarlet > Fire is a quintessential blast of experimentation. Listen with good headphones and try to drift into the ionosphere.
